A Post is Long Overdue

We've been a busy family. Between the holidays and illnesses and trips to Temecula I haven't had (made) much time to update our blog. And while I will go back to before October 21st for updates, I am going to make them a little briefer than normal, since most of you reading this are already current!

Halloween was a lot of fun. Emron was a doctor, he wore scrubs that I put off until the last minute to sew, but he looked great and had fun at one of the Halloween parties we went to. He still didn't really understand the collecting of candy, so we skipped it for the most part. Instead we went to trunk or treat at our church and trick or treated around the parking lot going from trunk to trunk.

Then mid November Emron and I caught the stomach flu. It was miserable, especially for my little guy. He was so sick! It was five days before he went a day keeping all his food down. He spent lots of time laying on me and watching Signing Time. He was so lethargic it was scary. Of course this was the first time Emron had been really, really sick so Murry and I were a little nervous. Suffice to say, he's back to normal. Today he ate a whole cheese omelet, cheesy toast and half a banana for breakfast. My version of the flu was about 24 hours, with four hours of total misery, meaning I was busy in the bathroom from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m, throwing up until there was nothing to throw up anymore, then throwing up again and again. Not fun, but over and done with!

Thanksgiving was fun. We went to one of Murry's co-workers and feasted. I made enough stuffing and cranberries for 20 people, not thinking that 19 others would bring side dishes, too. We had so many leftovers that I decided to make a turkey, too. It was my first attempt at a turkey and it turned out well. The meat was moist throughout!

The last couple of weekends have been filled with trips to Temecula. We're pretty certain we won't be in California long enough to make it worth while to buy a home, but we wanted to check out all our options one last time.

The next few weekends are busy as we count down to Christmas with numerous parties and events. I almost have all my shopping done and our tree is up, but more about that to come, I promise :)

Emron sends a big Head-D0w. He's a talking machine with over 50 words in his vocabulary!!! We hope all is well.

XOXO,
Aspen

PS The bath photos in the collage were taken today, the others are from last weekend's trip to Temecula.
