Hair Today Gone Tomorrow

Emron's hair has never been cut. His little baby curls, however crazy, are super cute. He kind of looks like an old man, but I like it! The wispiness, the different lengths, his little mullet, blonde, shiny, beautiful hair.

Today, things changed. We decided to buzz his little head. I was a little sad to lose his blonde locks. I think he was a little sad to lose them, too. We sat in the bathtub, Emron in my lap, while Murry used the clippers to trim his hair to one length. The sound made the little guy nervous, but he was distracted by M&Ms and, well, me. I asked about the ABC's and we counted. Then we planned a camping trip. I asked him who he wanted to invite, of course Sydney was the first invitee, then Marshall, then, after I asked, the rest of their families, and the rest of ours, too. The end result is still cute, it is on one of the cutest little guys I've ever seen (I know, I know, I am a little biased), but it makes him look older. His baby features are molding into those of a little boy. It's fun to watch him grow! Here's the new do:

A Post is Long Overdue

We've been a busy family. Between the holidays and illnesses and trips to Temecula I haven't had (made) much time to update our blog. And while I will go back to before October 21st for updates, I am going to make them a little briefer than normal, since most of you reading this are already current!

Halloween was a lot of fun. Emron was a doctor, he wore scrubs that I put off until the last minute to sew, but he looked great and had fun at one of the Halloween parties we went to. He still didn't really understand the collecting of candy, so we skipped it for the most part. Instead we went to trunk or treat at our church and trick or treated around the parking lot going from trunk to trunk.

Then mid November Emron and I caught the stomach flu. It was miserable, especially for my little guy. He was so sick! It was five days before he went a day keeping all his food down. He spent lots of time laying on me and watching Signing Time. He was so lethargic it was scary. Of course this was the first time Emron had been really, really sick so Murry and I were a little nervous. Suffice to say, he's back to normal. Today he ate a whole cheese omelet, cheesy toast and half a banana for breakfast. My version of the flu was about 24 hours, with four hours of total misery, meaning I was busy in the bathroom from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m, throwing up until there was nothing to throw up anymore, then throwing up again and again. Not fun, but over and done with!

Thanksgiving was fun. We went to one of Murry's co-workers and feasted. I made enough stuffing and cranberries for 20 people, not thinking that 19 others would bring side dishes, too. We had so many leftovers that I decided to make a turkey, too. It was my first attempt at a turkey and it turned out well. The meat was moist throughout!

The last couple of weekends have been filled with trips to Temecula. We're pretty certain we won't be in California long enough to make it worth while to buy a home, but we wanted to check out all our options one last time.

The next few weekends are busy as we count down to Christmas with numerous parties and events. I almost have all my shopping done and our tree is up, but more about that to come, I promise :)

Emron sends a big Head-D0w. He's a talking machine with over 50 words in his vocabulary!!! We hope all is well.

XOXO,
Aspen

PS The bath photos in the collage were taken today, the others are from last weekend's trip to Temecula.

My Husband

Murry is amazing. I am so happy to be married to him. I haven't been feeling well and he has been taking such good care of me. On Saturday I was craving lemonade, so Murry went to the store and bought lemons, squeezed them all, made a simple syrup, made ice cubes, then the ingredients together to yield some of the best lemonade I've tasted! It was delicious! Also, I wanted to get a walk in on Saturday and clean the downstairs. Murry offered to clean so I could take my walk. Every night and every morning he rubs my back to help my feel better. He is just so sweet. He helps with dinner, doesn't get mad if I don't have it made and we end up eating out, he does most chores I ask him to do, he puts my needs above his own. And all this on top of working 60+ hours a week! I am a lucky girl and oh so grateful for my family!

Colorado Trip

It's been too long since my last post, life has been crazy. Between family visits, a trip to Colorado and our entire household being sick we've been busy. Most importantly (I am not going to bore you will mucus details), Laurel, my sister, visited the U.S. for the month of September and during her visit Emron and I flew out to Colorado to see her and my mom, Alan, and dad. It was a good visit. I was happy to see everyone, especially Laurel who hadn't seen Emron except for when he was first born (she lives in New Zealand). Emron learned how to say auntie before we arrived and I think Laurel was impressed, if not simply amazed by how much he had changed. The weather was nice while we were there and my mom was able to have her girls home for her birthday (don't worry mom, I won't tell everyone how old you are!). The food was good as always, though Emron didn't appreciate the crab dinner, and we enjoyed each other's company.

A few highlights of the trip include:
  • Emron splashing in the hot tub naked and then coming inside to play the piano, also naked. Crab quiche.
  • Taking Emron to the mountains with my dad and watching the boys (my dad and E) throw rocks down the hillside (this event has triggered a rock throwing fetish, which is cute but not always a good thing...).
  • Seeing Emron wade in the irrigation ditch, the water was so cold!
  • Seeing Jan, Travis, Kevin and Stacy.
  • Watching Lindy lick Emron.
  • Watching both of the dogs hover whenever Emron was eating.
  • Photo shoot with mom and Laurel!!!
  • Talks with my sister.
  • Lunch in Cedaredge, and the park afterwards.
  • Taking Emron to Jorgenson Park in Gunni, the only park I knew growing up.
  • And on and on...
Here are some pictures from our trip:

Emron just loved playing outside, especially with the dogs.

We had a good time in Colorado but were glad to come home and see Murry. Emron spent the whole weekend attached to his daddy. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Murry had not only cleaned the house, but also re-finished the rest of the bedroom furniture. He is a very sweet guy.

Anyway, there's a little update for all of you. I hope to post more over the weekend so stay tuned.

Thanks for a great time in Colorado every one. We miss you!

Emron is a Man of Many Hats

Yesterday, Emron found his old swimming hat and he won't take it off. Here's a little background: Last year I purchased orange swimming trunks and the matching sun hat. Emron wasn't a fan of the hat at the time, he didn't like to wear it, heck, for that matter, he didn't like the trunks too much either. You see, Emron was not a fan of the water at six months old. Now, it's a completely different story. Emron loves the water, especially the ocean. And he loves hats! So yesterday when he found his old swimming hat he immediately insisted on wearing. And wearing it. He wore it to nap in, he wore it to bed. He wore it most of the day. This morning, I heard Emron talking in his crib, he wasn't upset, but clearly he was waking up (I love when they wake up without tears!!!). So, I peaked into his room, and there he was, standing up trying to get his hat on. He kept saying "Ut oh, ut oh." I immediately went to his crib and helped him with his hat. He ate breakfast in his hat, then we lost it while climbing all over the couch, not really lost, mind you, but it was not on his head and out of sight, therefore forgotten. Anyway, this afternoon, before Emron went down for a nap he decided he needed to wear his Mickey Mouse ears. So he did. Not to bed, I wouldn't let him, these are $25 ears after all, but he wore them as we walked to 7-Eleven for a treat. The funny thing is, I am not sure the cashier even noticed! So, here are a few pictures of my little friend with his hats!

Lots to Say

It's been awhile since my last post, and while I've updated my layout, I've had a hard time sitting down and writing a post, in fact, I've been putting it off. But here I am, and thus the update shall begin.

Our family has done several things I'll gloss over and several others I'll go in more depth about. First, the gloss. The weekend of August 15th, we went to Old Poway Park and we were able to ride on a working steam engine. The train did a small loop around the park and Emron seemed to love it! Afterward we went to the Poway Farmers Market, and while we didn't buy anything, we enjoyed taking in the sights, sounds and smells that describe the controlled chaos of any open air market. The next weekend we helped throw a baby shower for one of Murry's co-workers. We had many guests in attendance, I'd guess around 45 total, including about ten kids. Everyone seemed to have a good time. We weren't able to play any of the games we'd planned, due to the high volume of people, but the food was good and the day was warm! I, for one, was glad when the last guest left and the party had been deemed a success.

The following Thursday, Murry's mom and dad, and sister and her family flew in for a visit. We were so excited to have company. I was honestly giddy as I tried to fall asleep on Wednesday night! They came for a couple of reasons, first, to support us as we went through the San Diego Temple, and second, to have fun and experience all that America's Finest City has to offer. Upon the arrival of the Streetman army, we grabbed some food, then set our sights on the beach. It was a beautiful day, well, it was hot. We were in the middle of a heat wave and the expected high was 105 degrees!!! So, it really was a perfect day for the beach! Anyway, Emron was napping so we decided to split up. I took Luke, Jace, Reilly, and Monique to the beach while Murry, Mike and Murry's folks, Lori and Neal stayed at the apartment waiting for the big guy to wake up. It was the first time of the summer I've been to the beach without Emron to look after and I was in heaven! The water was warm and I wasn't tied to the shore. Luke and I tried to body board as Jace seemed to work his way farther and farther down the shore collecting and ridding the ocean of seaweed. Eventually we all met up; the whole crew of ten. Monique brought out the camera and captured each of us having fun!

Emron Just Loves the Beach

Friday was filled with hairs being cut and errands being run as we prepared to go to the temple. Actually, the boys and Mike went to Legoland, the rest of us ran around and rested, but not at the same time!

Saturday was our sealing. A sealing, in case you don't know, is a short, yet amazing ceremony that binds a family together forever. We believe marriage vows don't have to be "until death do you part," instead, with the proper authority families can be eternal. Our ceremony was beautiful and many of our close friends were there. Emron had a hard time until he saw mommy and daddy then he was put at ease. Many aspects of the temple are sacred, so suffice to say, I felt wonderful when we were there, totally at peace and full of love. I am so grateful for the Church, and I am grateful our family is be sealed together for all time and eternity. Our wonderful photographer was able to capture these awesome pictures!

Happy Forever Family

Family and Friends at the Temple

Sunday marked the end of Neal and Lori's visit. Murry, Mike and Emron took them to the airport while the rest of us went to church. Afterwards, everyone was able to get a little rest, then we went back to the beach. It was late when we arrived, about 4:30, and the marine layer had rolled in. Even with the clouds, it was warm and we had so much fun playing in the sand. Emron found a big hole and sat in it. He looked like a little prairie dog on the look-out. Later, he dove in the sand face first and was deemed "The Sand Monster!" We rinsed him off in the ocean as he tried to chase the waves into the deep while they washed in and out. Mike and the boys rented bogie boards and Monique watched from the sand. We got Taco Bell on the way home and were able to feed eight people for $24! I know Reilly doesn't really count, since she's only six months old, but still, it was an amazing feat!

Sand Monster

We went to Disneyland on Monday. It was a long and hot day, but despite being tired and sweaty, we had a great time. How can you not when you're at the happiest place on earth!? Emron was able to ride many of the rides, but he didn't know what to make of it. Every time I looked at him, his eyes would be wide and he'd be looking from side to side. Due to the heat, or maybe just the time of year, the lines were pretty short. Murry and I were able to break away and ride Space Mountain and didn't have to wait in line at all, we also were seated in the first car, which was awesome! We rode the Matterhorn, too! Emron and Reilly did very well in their strollers and the boys were good, as well. Disneyland was a fun adventure for all of us.

We took the clan to the airport on Tuesday as they rounded out their visit with hugs and kisses. I had to pick Jace up in order to get a hug from him, but I still got one. It was so nice have everyone here, in our home. Thanks guys for a great time!

The rest of the week was devoted to relaxing and cleaning and hanging out with friends. Our MusikGarten teacher, Erin, is moving, and on Wednesday we had our last class with her. Emron performed like a true star. He sang his tonal patterns and brought tears to Erin's eyes. Then clapped for himself and started giggling, which in turn, made everyone in class giggle, which in turn, made him giggle even more. It was truly adorable! We will miss Erin, but we're so glad class will go on with our new teacher, Tara.

And, lastly, I know this is already a long post, but still... Emron gets up every time he falls, most of the time it doesn't even phase him. I am amazed as I watch him grow into a strong little boy with a lot of heart! I hope everyday to become more like him. To love equally and not to judge, to laugh at everything, to get up when you get knocked down, to eat with passion, and to trust whole-heartedly. I love my little guy. I love both my guys!

Aspen

Old Poway Park

As of late, one of the only ways to keep Emron happy is to be out and about. I don't know if it has to do with him starting to walk or if he is just tired of me, but he's happiest when we are doing something. So, yesterday after nap-time we headed out the door. I didn't quite know where we were going, but Emron was standing at the front door, pounding on it and yelling, so I grabbed my wallet and we were off. The first stop was easy: McDonalds! You can't beat a 42 ounce diet soda for $0.84! Then, where to... How about Old Poway Park! We'd never been there so I decided it was time to go!

When we arrived we discovered the playground was closed for construction. Then we walked across the street to the gazebo/park area. We found train cars! Emron was so excited! We walked around the cars then found two fountains. Then a big rock! Emron scored! He didn't want to come home! I was able to catch some okay shots with my phone and thought you might enjoy them.

I also found out the park offers train rides on the weekends. And we're talking real trains, not just some ride for kids. I think we're going to have to check it out! Have a great weekend!

Comic Con and Other Going Ons

Hello! It's August, seriously, can you believe it? I keep joking that I am looking forward to school starting because it will give me a break. I know the school year doesn't really affect our family, yet, but with friends with kids out of school, we've found ourselves busier than ever! My last post was on my birthday, so about two or three weeks ago. Since then we've been up to no good, as usual! There was my birthday dinner/date, Comic Con, house drama and several projects.

For my birthday Murry took me out to King's Fish House. I ordered the salmon and Murry ate the scallops. We also ordered a grilled artichoke appetizer. Everything was delicious. Emron was at home, sleeping, while our friends Luis and Irma supervised. After dinner we went for a little drive along the coast then came home. Luis and Irma brought cake and sang to me before they headed back to their house! It was an enjoyable celebration. I received some great gifts, too. Fun clothes and sunglasses from Murry, two great necklaces, a Willow Tree collectable box and some money... So far, being 26 has been great!

The next weekend we had some discouraging news. The house we were hoping to close on in mid August was not going to be available for at least another month. We are not able to see it and the bank will have to review our offer since 30 days will have passed from the time they accepted it. We're still house hunting but with less vigor.

We had some fun at Comic Con though! For those of you who have not heard of Comic Con, it's a four day, 120,000 person event held annually at the San Diego Convention Center. It showcases vendors from across the country as well as some of the major comic book label such as Marvel and DC. Additionally, since so many comic books have been made into movies, movie studios as well as actors and other celebrities are in attendance. We saw Tyresse and Sigourney Weaver. When we arrived at the event we were shocked by its size and by all the attendees in costume! It was a sensory experience for sure. Murry was like a kid in a candy store. He loved collecting free comic books and seeing pieces from movie sets, like the Iron Man suits. Emron enjoyed all the colors, too. I thought the event was crazy but still fun. At one point, a man tried to run me and the stroller over but I looked back at him and said "You can just wait!" He backed off. I am glad we were able to go!

Yesterday: Emron Wants to go Back to Comic Con (He's Wearing Our Badges)

Last week Murry was out of town for a training so I decided to tackle a few projects. I've began re-finishing our bedroom furniture. I did some work when Murry was gone but we're still plugging away, its a big project. I have some sewing to do, and we're going to shampoo the carpets. So, I guess I haven't really tackled much, per se, but I've made lists... That has got to count for something!

Last weekend, we worked on the furniture and we spent some time with friends. On Friday night, we had dinner with Tara, Spencer and Sydney. I am friends with Tara from MusikGarten and Emron and Sydney are a team. Tara and I decided it was time our spouses met, so that's what they did. We ate at Rubios then went to the park. Emron tried to keep up with Sydney, who kept yelling "Come on buddy. Buddy come on!" And the adults enjoyed some adult talk. By the end of the night Emron added Sydney to his vocabulary (Mum, Dada, ketchup and Sydney among others...) and we all had a good time.

This weekend, more furniture. Maybe breakfast with friends or a pool date with other friends. We shall see! Hope all is well for every and that you enjoyed the update. I need to not let so much time pass between posts!

One Year Older and Wiser, Too

Today is my birthday! There are many things I've learned this year and many experiences I've enjoyed. In no particular order, here's a brief list:
  • Joy is found in the little things.
  • Fifteen minute makeup looks almost identical to five minute makeup, and the ten minutes saved will make all the difference to your husband.
  • Boys like trucks.
  • Babies cry, and it's okay to let them cry.
  • M&M's fix everything.
  • Pedicures are way overrated, but eyebrow waxing is worth every penny.
  • Ironing jeans is not always necessary.
  • Kids eat sand and then you have to change sandy diapers.
  • There's nothing wrong with going to bed earlier than your spouse.
  • House hunting is fun for adults, not so much for young kids.
  • Loss is difficult, but gradually the pain starts to fade (I miss you little lentil).
  • It's hard to be selfish when you take care of others.
  • Communication is key in any relationship.
  • Friends are found in unexpected places.
  • Never let your husband dare you into cutting your hair off.
  • It takes a long time for hair to grow.
  • You can never take too many photos.
  • I can eat whatever I want.
  • Bronx Pizza is the best in San Diego
  • I can run a half marathon.
  • Bodies change after having babies, but the change is worth it.
  • There's nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby.

Life has its Ups and Downs

It's been two and a half weeks since my last post. In this time I've pondered my blogging boundaries and what should or shouldn't be posted online. I've come to the conclusion that, since my blog is my journal, and since I am a relatively open person anyway, most things that happen in my life, good or bad, will be posted. It's with a heavy heart that I share this bit of news with you, my readers. About a month ago we discovered I was pregnant, then two weeks later it was confirmed that I lost the baby. I was only six weeks along. While I didn't look pregnant and my little baby was only the size of a lentil, the loss has been one of the most difficult events I've had to handle. Even with the knowledge that these things happen fairly regularly, I've been sad. It's not to say that I only wear black and freely cry all the time, but it's been the little things: pregnant women with their round bellies, commercials for pregnancy tests and products for newborns. Fortunately, Emron keeps me busy and leaves me with little time to feel sorry for myself. Additionally, I have confidence that I will get to meet my little lentil one day and until then he or she will be well cared for by our Heavenly Father. So, that's why it's been awhile since my last post...

Anyway, despite this trial, we've actually been doing pretty well. Emron is finally walking more than crawling. He still does a bit of a Frankenstein walk, but he's moving from room to room, and he gets right back up after he falls without any tears.

The bank has accepted one of our offers on a home in Temecula. We're excited because we anticipated the process taking a lot longer, but here we are. The bank wants to close on July 23rd, but here's the kicker: we haven't seen the house!!! Because the house is tenant occupied, and because the tenant is very difficult, we will not be able to get into the house until July 15th, the date the tenant is moving out. Obviously, we will not close on the 23rd, instead, if we like the house and want to move forward, we'd like to close mid-August. But of course, we're still not 100% sure we want to buy in California!

Yesterday I took Emron to the beach for the first time ever. He loved it! He loved the sand and the other kids (we went with our ward), and eating the sane, he loved having a picnic lunch and he loved stealing food from other moms and their kids! He didn't love the water, and can you blame him? It was only 62 degrees. He did, however, love the idea of the water. As we walked toward the ocean he giggled with excitement but once he felt how cold it was he was not a happy camper. Regardless, if I held him and stood in the water he was completely calm as he watched the waves wash in and out, in and out.

Sand Face

When we got home from the beach, a second wind kicked in for my tired babe, and he went nuts! Walking all around, playing with toys, and my personal favorite activity of the moment, putting blocks behind the TV stand, using his whole body!

Look at Those Legs

Today we had music class then spent time with friends. Emron's resting now, and I am going to get some ironing done. We hope all is well for everyone.

Aspen

Two Weekends

Two weekends have past since my last post.  How time flies.  When Murry and I got married I remember thinking everything was going by so fast, but since Emron has joined us it feels like we are running on fast-forward.

Anyway, most of you probably know about our weekend two weekends ago, for those of you who don't here's a quick re-cap.  On Saturday we set out to see our "Country House."  Murr was interested in a house on 5.5 acres just east of Temecula.  The price was right, especially because of the acreage and the house appeared to be custom, so we though, "Why not check it out!"  As we approached the house the road went from pavement to dirt, then from dirt to a four wheel drive trail.  Yes, I am going to call it a trail.  Even in our SUV we had a difficult time navigating the trail.  Finally, the trail became impassable.  But, we'd invested so much time to getting to the Country House that we decided to hike the rest of the way up.  And that's what we did.  Murry and I took turns carrying Emron and we walked about a mile to the house.  We were glad we did.  The house was rough; one would need to replace the flooring, get rid of vectors, figure out the water situation (it appeared water would need to be trucked in), re-pave the road, etc.  The view, however, was amazing.  On a clear day you'd be able to see to the ocean.  And with million dollar houses all around the re-sale opportunities would be outrageous.  Oh, if we only had about $400K laying around...  Regardless, we had fun driving off road and hiking as a family.

The next day, Sunday, we went to church then drove down to El Centro.  There are few things I have been absolutely certain about it my lifetime, marrying Murry is one of them.  Another is that I will NEVER willingly move to El Centro.  It just didn't feel right.  Not a lot of white folks, no kids playing outside on a beautiful day, just hot and not right.  It was good to go though, knowing that we do not want to take El Centro as a hardship has eliminated it as an option.  And, though we will continue to be flexible, we've decided that if none of the houses in Temecula pan out, we will stay in our apartment until fall 2010 at which time Murry will go to law school in Colorado.  So, it was a good weekend, fun adventure and decision making, too.

We had a good week, too.  Emron is taking more steps everyday and has learned to get from sitting position to standing on his own.  We have so much fun with our friends and at music class.  He and I are best buddies and I just adore him.  Which isn't to say we don't look forward to weekends with daddy, but we are a pretty good team, too.

So Father's Day weekend.  On Saturday began our day with a treat from Cinnabon, then we went to Kit Carson Park in Escondido, only a few exits north from our apartment.  Our destination was the Queen Califia Mosaic Sculpture Garden, and without having to put the car into four wheel drive we made it!  The garden was beautiful.  Emron loved playing and crawling all around.  Murry and I had a good time looking at all the totem polls.  It was awesome to think about all the broken tiles that were put back together to make each sculpture.  I hope you enjoy the pictures below:

After the park we came home and had lunch, then put Emron down for a nap.  I took a nap, too and Murry watched Spy Kids 3: Game Over.  We had a laid back rest of the afternoon and for the day before Father's Day dinner we had Chipotle.  It was delicious.  Emron enjoyed his dinner, too, see below.

Yum.

Can you believe that child's eyelashes.  They are so long and have a perfect curl to them.  He's so cute!

Yesterday morning we gave Murry his gifts in bed, then after breakfast, went to church.  It was my turn to teach Sunday School and even though I prepared the lesson during the first hour of church, it turned out okay.  The kids were a little wired, perhaps from pancake and waffle breakfasts but on the whole it went well.  After church we had a nice lunch then came home and everyone took a nap.  We were kind of boring this past weekend.  Undoubtedly, we had a good time.  Dinner was pot roast, Emron had mac and cheese, we each got a good nights rest and are back at it today.  That's the run down.

Just Had to Post This One

Hope you all had a great Father's Day weekend and hope you have a great week, too.

Aspen

The Weekend

So, it strikes me as kind of funny that today is Friday and I am just sitting down to write an update from last weekend.  Has a week really gone by already?  I guess so...

Anyway, last weekend was a little trying.  Murry injured his neck on Friday and wasn't feeling great on Saturday.  He has been working strange hours and neither of us had been getting as much sleep as we would like so we were a bit cranky.  This is on top of the fact that Murry is not the best patient, and that the weather had been gray for as long as I can remember.  Despite our moods, we were able to visit the Flying Leatherneck Museum, on Saturday, D-Day.  It was amazing to see old Marine uniforms and awards as well as get up close and personal to mostly Vietnam era planes and helicopters.  Emron has been fascinated with planes and helicopters since he was very small (when he would look up and track them flying over head, I knew he didn't have Murry's poor vision).  Now that he is a little older, Emron will point to the sky when he hears a plane or helicopter pass by.  He's adorable.  Needless to say, he enjoyed the museum.  His favorite attraction was the mini plane made for kids.  He would have stayed in the cockpit of that thing for as long as we would have let him.

Saturday night we had dinner with friends.  It was the first time we were able to eat the meal uninterrupted.  Emron was super good.  He loved playing with Gene, who is three and has lots of cool dinosaurs and cars!  At one point Emron even crawled into the bin of cars to sit on top of them and perhaps, in his mind, claim every car for himself.  The food was good, Emron was excellent and it was nice to spend some time with friends.

Sunday we didn't do much.  Church was fine, my lesson went okay.  I was pretty frustrated with my Sunday School kids but I am hoping the next time I teach they'll be less distracted.  We didn't do a whole lot during the afternoon.  We relaxed and went to the park to play catch.  It was a nice day to wrap up the weekend.

This week has been pretty busy.  I am still not sleeping as well as I would like for some reason, so I feel like I've been dragging all week.  Additionally, it's been very gray and cloudy here everyday which makes it hard for me to motivate.  Emron's big news of the week is that he is walking, kind of.  Emron has taken quite a few steps on his own this week but he has to be enticed with a toy or M&M and he walks toward his object of desire with such longing that he always collapses when he gets it.  It's progress.  I hope that he will be walking before his next doctor appointment on June 24!  Cross your fingers!

So Cute In My Lobos Jersey

We don't have much planned this weekend.  We are going to help clean the church tomorrow morning for about an hour, then we may go to the Zoo or Wild Animal Park.  We may take a drive and look at some houses, but nothing is set in stone.  I hope you all have a nice weekend!

XOXO,
Aspen
