Happy Halloween

I have never had so much fun preparing for and celebrating Halloween as I have this year.  Our house is decorated a little, Murry and I frosted lots of Halloween sugar cookies, and I sewed Emron's costume.  So much fun.  I hope every one has a fun and safe time tonight!!!

One of those days...

I can't seem to get moving today; I just want to curl up with a good book and sip raspberry tea.  I am tired.  Emron is coming down with a little cold on top of teething on top of learning to crawl.  He seems content though, thankfully.  But last night he was up three times looking for the comfort of nursing or upset because he had rolled onto his stomach, even Murry woke up with him.  Poor little guy.

Other than those little complaints, we are doing well.  Tonight Murry and I are going to carve our pumpkin.  Emron's Halloween costume is sewn and ready for Friday.  We have a busy weekend ahead but we are excited to see friends for the holiday.

The words aren't really coming to me today and since I am done with my tea I think I will get ready.  We have music class today.  Hope all is well!

Colorado in the Fall

We're Back

We're back in San Diego.  Emron and I returned home after a two and a half week trip to Colorado.  We visited my parents while Murry studied for and took the LSAT.  The baby and I spent most of our time in Delta with my mom and step-dad, Alan.  While we didn't do anything out of the ordinary, we were able to enjoy crisp fall weather, leaves changing colors, wonderful family time and the world famous Cedaredge Applefest!  Okay, so the Applefest really wasn't super special, but it was a fun small town festival with some pretty good food!

It was really neat to see my parents interacting with Emron.  Watching my mom and dad with the baby was like looking into the past and seeing how they were with me when I was an infant, though my mom assures me she is "way more patient" now than she was then.

Not a whole lot has changed in Delta, though there is a quite a bit of new construction throughout the city limits.  My mom's home is just as welcoming and as beautiful as ever.  Aside from the excitement of Applefest, mom and Alan both plug away at home and Derma Skin care and the Post Office, respectively.

My dad continues to get along in Gunnison.  He took Emron to the Gunnison River for his first river experience.  They both enjoyed starring into the dark blue water and listening to the sounds only a river can make.  Emron "introduced" himself to the river through a series of shouts translated, "Hello, I'm here and my name is Emron!"

We had a good time in Colorado but it is good to be back!  Murry, Emron and I spent a wonderful four day weekend together relaxing as a family.  We didn't get out a lot but we spent every minute enjoying each other and our many blessings.  It's back to the old grind today...

Anyway, here are some trip photos.  Hope you enjoy!!!
